Does Acrylic Overlay Damage Nails

Does acrylic overlay damage nails. Gel overlay does not extend the nail or give it any length like the purpose behind artificial nails. Be patient because it will probably take multiple. This will ensure that you are able to save your natural nails from damage or pain.
Those with extremely short nails can still get acrylic overlays. I will say occasionally the gel will chip off. Actually gel or acrylic overlays are not good for nails.

No extension is used so whether you do it on long or short nails depend on you. In fact if you have a shorter nail bed it is easier to fix a form and overlay to give you the desired length. Sometimes even immaculately cared for nails can begin to show damage from acrylic nails.
For me I dont see any damage to my original nail. Be sure to watch this short. Many shy away from acrylics thinking that they dont have the ideal nail.
As acrylic nails require you to roughen up the surface of the nail to apply them the nail surface can wear away over time. So it is often recommended that after 3 months of continuous wear clients should take a break from acrylics. Acrylic is a cousin of gel consisting of a liquid monomer plus a powder polymer.
